QSL Digest (qsldigest.org) is a community-driven amateur radio news site.

It focuses on news, updates, features, and discussions relevant to ham radio operators (amateur radio users).

Its core objective is to serve as a shared, participatory platform for the amateur radio community.

Users can read curated and community-submitted content on topics such as ARRL/RSGB news, DX (long-distance) activity, contests, equipment, events, propagation, satellites, software, mesh networking, regulatory matters, comics, and general community stories.

The “New Post” button allows registered members to contribute articles or news items, making it a collaborative rather than purely top-down news source.

Featured stories highlight practical tools and developments that help keep hams connected.

All articles are sorted by date giving the latest news at the top of the page.

How registration and login work

  • At the top right of the homepage you will see clear buttons: Register, Sign in, and New Post.

  • Click Register to create an account (typical web registration flow—email, username/password, and any required verification). (This will then require approval by the site before you can sign in with the registered account.)

  • Once registered and approved, use Sign in to log in.

  • After logging in you gain the ability to create new posts (via the green “New Post” button) and interact more fully with the community content.

Using filters and search to find specific news

The site makes it easy to narrow content:

  • Category filters appear as a row of clickable pills/tags near the top of the page. Examples visible on the homepage include:

    • All (showing the total count of posts) - Limited to show last 50 articles

    • ARRL, Comic, Community, Contests, DX News, Equipment, Events, Meshcore, Propagation, Regulatory, RSGB, Satellites, Software (New ones may also be possible)

  • Simply click any tag to filter the feed to posts in that category. Counts next to each tag show how many items currently exist in that category.

  • Search is available via the magnifying-glass icon in the top navigation bar. Click it, enter keywords related to the topic you want (e.g., a specific contest, callsign, piece of equipment, or event), and the site will immediately filter based on what you enter and return matching articles.

Together, the category filters and the search function let you quickly locate news on any particular amateur-radio topic without scrolling through the entire feed. Featured stories are highlighted at the top, while the rest of the page shows the chronological or filtered list of community and curated posts.
